MY ENCOURAGEMENT & PRAYER FOR YOU:
He Is
Your Strength
MY ENCOURAGEMENT
Psalm 89:17-18, New
Living Translation (NLT)
17
You are their
glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong. 18 Yes, our protection comes from the Lord, and he, the Holy One of Israel, has given us our king.
For you to be truly strong and victorious in life, you have
to make God your strength. If you depend
on Him you will not be ashamed.
The psalmist got it right when he was speaking of the
righteous, the children of God. He said of God: “You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong”
(Ps. 89:17 NLT).
No wonder Paul wrote that we should “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might,” and that “we should be strong in the grace that is in
Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 6:10; 2 Timothy 2:1).
If truly God is your strength you cannot fail, and you
cannot be defeated. If truly God is your
strength, then your protection is sure and your victory is certain. Decide
today to make the Almighty God your strength.
QUESTION: How can
I make God my strength?
First, be sure that you are truly His child, that you know
Him as your Father and that you are in a covenant relationship with Him. The strength
of God is available only to those who have heard and received the joyful sound
of the gospel of Christ.
Secondly, you should deliberately cultivate your
relationship with God by loving Him in holiness and truth, and serving Him with
all your might.
Thirdly, you should learn to wait upon Him, staying in His
presence to receive His clear direction for your life. As you spend time in His presence, meditating
on His Word, worshipping and praying, seeking His face for His definite word,
you will hear His voice very clearly. God
takes delight in speaking to those who wait upon Him.
After receiving God’s word of direction, you then go forth
from His presence to act on His word and execute His command.
The rule is: “Whatsoever He
says to you, DO IT (John 2:5). You
will be surprised how you will move quickly from glory to glory, from strength
to strength (Psalm 84:7).
Finally, make sure you always return to spend time in His
presence again, thanking Him for all that He has done for you and asking
Him to renew your strength again. (I PROPHESY: May you go forth in the
strength of the Lord today. May you have
victory, and success and great breakthrough, In Jesus’ name. The Lord is your
strength today and all the days of your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus).
Isaiah 40:31
King James Version (KJV)
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as
eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
MY
PRAYER
Father in the name of
Jesus, we give you thanks because you give us your strength. Lord we ask you to
continue to be our glorious strength, even from today, and strengthening us in
every area of our lives. And Father we ask that you manifest Your glorious
strength in the areas of our lives that give us concerns (YOU CAN MENTION ANY
AREA OF YOUR CONCERN), and we thank you for hearing and answering our prayers,
In Jesus’ name – And everyone reading said…
YOUR CONFESSION
FOR TODAY
